Woodford Reserve isn’t manufactured, it’s crafted in small batches. This artisanal process allows us to craft using all five sources of bourbon flavor giving it its distinct taste and crisp, clean finish. The art of making fine bourbon first took place on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery, a National Historic Landmark, in 1812. The perfectly balanced taste of our Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is comprised of more than 200 detectable flavor notes, from bold grain and wood, to sweet aromatics, spice, and fruit & floral notes.
When crafting Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, meticulous work with five sources of flavor is made to ensure exceptional taste and a balanced flavor. Grain – the first of the Five Sources – is exactly sourced to produce the defined taste they're looking for in every bottle of Woodford Reserve. Their mash bill contains 53 percent rye, resulting in a liquid with pronounced spice notes that’s sweetly hinted with fruit before a long finish. Made in the traditional style of Kentucky Ryes, Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey delivers bold flavors of pepper and tobacco with a long fruit and sweetly spiced finish.
